How do I get to FBC?
We are located in downtown Sumter, on Liberty St. Please click the 'map' button below for a link to google maps.
When should I arrive?
Sunday school for all ages begins at 9 a.m. every Sunday morning and our worship service begins at 10:15 a.m.
Where should I park?
Where do I enter?
Below is a map that shows the best places to enter our building. If you have younger children, we have an entrance under a covered walkway off of Harvin St. that will be best. For our worship service, the best entrance is to the right of our sanctuary, under the covered overpass.
What should I expect?
Our worship service will have times of singing together, prayer, and the preaching of God's Word. We believe that God is the ultimate author of the Bible, and that the truths in the Bible change lives; therefore, we most often preach through books of the Bible verse by verse on Sunday mornings to see those truths revealed. We have a blended style of worship at FBC Sumter, where we regularly have a choir, praise, team, band and orchestra leading us to worship our great God together.
What should I wear?
Come as you are! People will come dressed in different types of clothing on Sunday morning (jeans, suits, and things in-between), and we all gather together as a body to worship Jesus Christ together.
Will there be someone to welcome me and show me where to go?
Yes! We are a church of friendly, helpful people that would love to help you find your way! We have a welcome desk at the back of our sanctuary - be sure to stop by to receive a free gift and connect with our welcome team! If you have young kids and enter through our children's area, we have several volunteers that can assist you, get your children checked in, and point you in the right direction.
Can I pre-register my kids?
Yes! We have Sunday school classes starting at 9 a.m. every Sunday morning for all ages and extended session during our worship service for birth through kindergarten ages. Save time by pre-registering them by clicking the 'pre-register' button below:
I'd like to keep my kids with me during the worship service. What do I do if they get upset before it's over?
Near the back of our sanctuary, we have a mother's room equipped with a changing table and restroom. We livestream the worship service into this room, so you won't miss any of the service if you have to step out with your children. Our ushers in the welcome area would be happy to direct you to this room.
